The Mathaf Gallery in London sepcialises in 19th Century paintings of Arabia. The gallery also represents contemporary artists, ‘the modern Orientalists’ who either live or travel in the Middle East. With a carefully selected stock of oils and watercolours, the Mathaf is the only gallery to specialise exclusively in this genre. After 40 years of specialization we have a wealth of knowledge for assisting with the purchase, sale and valuation of Orientalist paintings. Through its team of artists, the Mathaf will also undertake commissioned work in portraits, equestrian, falconry and historical reconstructions.
